Brain Histopathology User Study

You will be shown brain (glioma / GBM) histopathology patches and asked to complete two tasks:

  1. Task 1 — Authenticity: For each image, judge whether it looks Real (realistic histology) or Synthetic (AI-generated or AI-modified).
  2. Task 2 — Transitions: Review transitions of images to their synthetic counterfactual counterparts (showing how an image would need to look to be classified as the opposite class) and select which morphological features are visible from a set of predefined options.
  • Task 1: judge authenticity of 50 individual images.
  • Task 2: review 50 image transitions and annotate morphological features.

You do not need to complete everything in one sitting — your progress is saved automatically after every response. Pause at any time by clicking "Pause" or closing the browser, then resume later by re-entering your exact ID.
